Great Prizes up for grabs!

The Australian High Commission has announced some of the great prizes up for grabs at this Saturday’s G’Day Solomon Islands Fun Run.


Major prizes to be won at the Fun Run include a Samsung Galaxy 4S from Bemobile/Vodafone, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 sponsored by the ANZ, a day trip to Mbike Island thanks to Extreme Adventures, stacks of rice courtesy of Solrice and solar light panels from Island Enterprise.


There will also be loads of vouchers and prize packs on offer from many of the Fun Run sponsors including BOC Gases Limited, Breakwater cafe, Heritage Park and Mendana Hotels, Sullivans and Nambawan Meats, Lime Lounge, the Ofis, Tongs Hardware and Mermaids.
 

Australian High Commissioner Andrew Byrne said the Honiara business community has provided strong support for this year’s event.
 

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the support from the local business community, who have been keen to support an event with a healthy lifestyle message.
 

“We have some fantastic prizes on offer.


“And remember you don’t have to win the race to win a prize. You just have to take part in the Fun Run to have a chance at winning”.


Other sponsors of the Fun Run include Szetu Enterprises, Soltuna, DJ Graphics, BSP, Mambo Juice, Solomon Taiyo, Pasifiki Services,Synergies, Bulk Shop, Kokonut Pacific, South Pacific Oil, Premiere Real Estate and the Marketing House.


The theme of the Fun Run is ‘Iumi Stap Helti’, promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle with fresh food and physical activity.


The G’day Solomon Islands Fun Run will be held this Saturday 13 September from 7.30am starting at the Honiara Art Gallery grounds.


Registration forms can be completed at the Australian High Commission.


Registration for the event is free. Those who register can complete a 3km walk or 5km run and will also be treated to a free healthy breakfast and entertainment.
